Following a string of victories by Morris riders over the past 4 years, David Jefferies set new standards in the 2000 TT. In his third victory of the week, the blue riband Senior TT, Jefferies, on his Morris lubricated V&M Yamaha R1S, became the first man to lap the 37.37 mile mountain circuit at an average speed in excess of 125 mph.
